YUZUKA REI
This time, I chose a costume for a scene I love very much in the show. Because there are so many times that I flip the coat, I can really feel that's how I "envelope myself with the surrounding air". At first it was a little too short, but then it became longer. There's not much texture in it, so it's very light and sometimes it's also easy to get a little static electricity. In this scene full of otokoyaku spirit, I'll feel my whole body with the "Takarazuka" vibe and dance!
For the shoulders, there's an impressive detail done by director Inaba sensei for this military outfit-like coat. When I move with the coat, the part for the waist is firmly sustained, the parts where it expands from below the waist is also a special feature. A point to look at is also on the glittering decorations on the buttons.

I really love how this line is extending and it's so intricate. Since the scene for dancing with just the suit is not long, I hope you could take the chance to watch closely!

HOSHIKAZE MADOKA
This was the dress that I wore when I first appeared in the musical. The moment I saw that embroidery I felt that this costume has such a strong impact! About this musical, there's this flair that you could tell who is aristocrat and who is artiste just by looking at the fashion. The last time I wore these hoop dresses was back in Ken-1 when I was in (Cosmos Troupe) performing "Oath of the Midnight Sun - Gustav III: A Battle by a Proud King-". I'm thrilled every day to wear this dress so representative of Takarazuka.
The headpiece was already designed with some feathers and ribbons so some flowers and pearls are added to make the headpiece gorgeous than ever (laughs). The pearls are joined by a chain and they move slightly when I walk.

The earrings and the pearls move a little. These earrings are gold as to pair with the costume's colour and the whole presence of the earrings and accessories becomes more obvious.
|
Hiryuu-san plays as my husband Count D'agoult and she gave me a wedding ring so I cherish and wear it in rehearsal classrooms. This is the first time that someone's gifted me a ring in the original performance so I was very moved! Even though I eloped with Liszt (Yuzuka) later and left the house, Hoshikaze myself I was very sorry about that (laughs).
|
I want to aim giving an impression of looking like a painting in terms of makeup so I asked CHIHARU-san the poster photographer on some suggestions and they helped me a lot. No matter if it's the type of eyelashes I use to make my eyes more doll-like, or the eyeshadow colour, or even the lip gloss is something I pay attention to the costume this time.

The audience usually won't see my feet and I thought I'm not the kind that wants to show too, but for this section, I'm happy to reveal how it looks like. I've worn these shoes with big ribbons ties and I found it cute when I first saw them. The leather shoes also makes this more high-class and it's amazing.
|
This is an asymmetrical and memorable long dress. The big ribbon ties make the dress adorable and there are some curtain-like tassels attached to the dress which is fancy! The gold material and lace is coupled with some champagne pink cloth and this becoes my favourite costume for this show.
