"Years of Pilgrimage/Fashionable Empire"
Yuzuka Rei x Minami Maito x Towaki Sea
(Note: There may be spoilers for the plot of "Years of Pilgrimage". Please view in discretion. 可能會有《巡禮之年》的暴雷,請小心閱讀)
Yuzuka: From the start of the first day (shonichi), everyone in each scene of the musical is pursuing to get it deeper. The actresses are also very excited. I really love George (Towaki)‘s lines.
Minami: I get it!
Towaki: Director Ikuta-sensei's lines are full of romance!
Yuzuka: It's really charming. (She) came going after Liszt (Yuzuka) and Marie in Geneva.
Towaki: "Will you give an introduction to your lover?" (laughs)
Yuzuka: What what what! Are we talking about Marie or you? What does this mean?
Towaki: Any will do!! The interpretation is left for the audience.
Yuzuka: In the start, the scene with me...it's a love scene, right?
Minami: It IS a love scene!
Yuzuka: It is (laughs). Well~ That was fun~
Towaki: Yes! Actually it's really great for someone standing on stage. Because~ the light shining on Liszt-san is just so beautiful, it really makes me feel... he is mine, wonderful!! I'd feel dazed and dizzy over it.
Minami: (side eye looks) Wooo~~~
Towaki: That's embarrassing (laughs).
Yuzuka: (laughs) At what timing and when did you start feeling for Chopin (Minami)...?
Towaki: I think from the beginning, I was quite concerned and paying attention to my relationships with Liszt-san and Chopin-san, that's why it's hard to clearly draw a line, yet inside me it feels like naturally I'm naturally drawn (to him). When the revolution started, Chopin-san and I were talking about going to my house in that scene on the silver bridge (ginkyo), we didn't want to let go of each other's hands, right!?
Minami: Yeah~!!
Yuzuka: Eh~ What's that about!? I want to see that!
Minami: I get it!
Towaki: Director Ikuta-sensei's lines are full of romance!

Yuzuka: Eh~ What's that about!? I want to see that!
Towaki: We can leave hand in hand but because this was a quick change, we got to stop (holding hands) when we enter the stage wings.
Minami: Yes! Every time, it feels like a pity.
Yuzuka: At this time, I'm lost in myself...
Minami: (laughs). George's very generous, when I'm feeling weak, she'd let me be in her embrace.
Yuzuka: (George) is an igniter to me. Anyway, this is because Ikuta-sensei says that he sees two similar souls in these two people (of Marie and George). That's why time passed when Liszt went to Geneva with Marie, even though he thought had seen his true self in the depths of his heart, because of George, I returned to becoming who I used to be in Paris. Also, in that persuading scene to go back, it feels scary not able to know about yourself.
Towaki: She's totally being a bystander. But you could guess if I've always been watching the scene before, when Marie-san and you both are feeling blissful and singing in the flowery path...
Minami: That's scary.
Yuzuka: Also it would be scary if Marie was watching behind the wings of me and George.
Minami: Probably just a side eye, but would still be scary.
Yuzuka: But in fact, what they're saying is very normal conversation. I believe this is a story that is filled with overflowing of charms and characters of roles.
Minami: Yes! Every time, it feels like a pity.
Yuzuka: At this time, I'm lost in myself...

Minami: Chopin speaks very softly and is very polite, and someone who won't hurt others.
Yuzuka: Eh~ That's not true!
Towaki: (laughs).
Yuzuka: Today when you were saying, "(About the fight in yourself...) You shouldn't run away from it but face it", you nearly raise your arm!
Minami: (bursts out laughing)
Yuzuka: I'm doing so hard to chase behind you so it's so agonising, I thought.
Minami: Sorry (laughs). But this person's (Yuzuka) just taking it too seriously!
Towaki: When Liszt-san was saying "I'd want to die soon", that's not okay! When Chopin-san heard that, he must feel pain.
Minami: Really! What was that!
Yuzuka: That's a line that I'm searching the essence of what it means to live so please forgive me!
Minami: In history, Chopin died (note: 1810-1849) after losing his father (note: Nicolas Chopin, 1771-1844) and his sister (note: Emilia Chopin, 1811-1827), so those words really hurt him. But he's greatly talented.
Yuzuka: If I had a mediocre talent, I won't be overwhelmed with so much work when I returned to Paris, maybe Marie and I would turn out different.
Towaki: Certainly.
Minami: Was the applause different when you returned to Paris?
Yuzuka: I'm very sensitive as to the different extent of applause from women. Till now I've always been performing on the piano for chasing after Chopin, and for the first time, I've been able to play the notes with what my heart is feeling. Because I'm feeling this every day, this is the kind of joy that's driving his life to madness. You could say he feels this complexity to Chopin.
Towaki: Now, when I hear Chopin's pieces, I'd still think he's really a genius.
Minami: Yeah. I believe even after so many years, what remains is still the original substance.
Yuzuka: In the age when there's not exposure in music, I wonder how it feels to listen to the piano. This is something that we can no longer experience in our current times, so we'd have to imagine that.
Minami: There's various things happening, like the ongoing revolution ongoing and Chopin himself is getting sick. But Liszt that I'm so concerned about, is finally accepting what he's always neglected. That really shows that I could continue on my journey after I die, I was very happy George was beside me.
Yuzuka: How does it feel saying "Goodbye, my Prince"?
Towaki: Falling in love is easy... I think how to keep maintaining it for years is very difficult. But, while the shape of love between (George) and Liszt-san is like "waiting", that's how my relationship was bred with Chopin-san. Towards the end...I strongly felt that I wanted to give him all of my love. He's too loveable I cried...(cries)
Minami: ...
Yuzuka: (looks at Minami) You're crying!
Minami: YOU'RE crying!! (cries)
Yuzuka: (smiles) Even though Chopin said to Liszt, "Why do you assess yourself with someone else's standards?", it's very difficult for him who's been living under people's judgments.
Minami: It's difficult, but that's how Chopin sees Liszt. Even though (Liszt) was a man of wonderful talents, it's frustrating when he can't evaluate himself properly.
Yuzuka: Because he's so desperate. But after listening to Chopin's words, he didn't go to the monastery, but instead exchanged his words with Marie in the end, his life is change because of (Chopin).
Minami: I've listened to the two (note: Marie and Lizst)'s conversation behind the stage wings, and I thought "Liszt's starting to get a little forward~".
Yuzuka: Eh~ That's not true!
Towaki: (laughs).
Yuzuka: Today when you were saying, "(About the fight in yourself...) You shouldn't run away from it but face it", you nearly raise your arm!

Yuzuka: Even though I'm sitting on my rising throne, I love to see everyone dancing silently every day before the start of the performance. The performance starts with Hitoko-chan (Towaki).
Towaki: Soudesune~ (That's right) I'll work hard-rimasu. (I'll work hard).
Minami: (You're saying it in) Dialect tone~ (laughs)
Towaki: At the start the lyrics are, "There's a moment that someone's whispering of a world that no one knows where" that gives a very ambiguous information (laughs). But I love the feeling of inviting you to an unknown world. (I love) opening announcement of "Come on!" as well!
Yuzuka: I'm trying to do the vibe of "Come~ Over here~". The clothes are casual and then with an image that's not overbearing and "Welcome!" to everyone. You may think this is an empire only for the chosen ones but surprisingly...
Minami: It's like come and see, if you're interested.
Yuzuka: That window (note: that Seino Asuka is peering through) is expanding indeed. Though I call "Labyrinth" a "bathtub" scene (laughs), that round container is my Personal Space.
Minami: (nods)
Towaki: Is it really a bathtub?
Yuzuka: No, it's a space that's vaguer. That's where only those who submit their everything (to me) could enter.
Minami: Yep, that's the feeling of it.
Yuzuka: At first, it sounds like Minami and me fighting over women, but this is really a scene for the audience's imagination.
Minami: Hm (laughs).
Towaki: (laughs)
Minami: No matter if you're man or woman.
Yuzuka: Because everyone has their correct answer in their heads, please enjoy and let (those thoughts) be free! Also, the middle scene (chuuzume) starts with Hitoko-chan!
Minami: You start with female's costume.
Towaki: Even though I took it off very quickly (laughs).
Minami: I'd hope to see more though.
Towaki: It was fun! I'm happy to do this together with (Hiryuu) Tsukasa who's graduating in this (performance). Because we're three otokoyaku over Ken-10, it's not too young and fresh, but I'd say it feels like a little playful and relaxed. Then the two of you that did lifts, that was so quick.
Minami: It was.
Yuzuka: It's fun to do those turns, and getting faster every day (laughs).
Minami: (laughs). Sometimes Madoka-chan (Hoshikaze) would look over fluttering her eyes. I really love seeing that face, (laughs) it's cute!
Towaki: (laughs)
Yuzuka: After all, it's about maintaining my straight posture after turning, so (sometimes I'd think) "Huh, isn't this a problem?" (if it was slightly different position)
Minami: I'm always trying to maintain a straight posture (laughs). This is also my recent habit. "How should I do it in rehearsal~" was what I thought.
Yuzuka: Definitely not Someone (Minami) who tells me to turn faster (laughs). The tempo of this song matches well.
Minami: The song that (Yuzuka) Rei sings in the scene "Fashionable Moment" I love it so much. Super good!
Towaki: I love it too! I thought what a good song~ every day.
Yuzuka: I sing this with my heart. When I'm rehearsing for this on stage, I confirmed the music for this scene. It may be the performers rest time, but one by one, they'll come out to dance. At that time, I thought "Oh, that's the meaning of this scene". Everyone's dance was so natural and very wonderful.
Minami: The two of us were saying, "This is it!".
Yuzuka: Yeah. I'd say it's exciting to dance with anyone! I wanted to cherish this pure excitement.
Minami: Truly.
Yuzuka: I want to dance with everyone's glowing smiles and power of life and share this moment with everyone.
Towaki: Yes.
Minami: I love the "Finale" too.
Towaki: I can't help (but feel excited). It looks like an impossible choreography, but rehearsing it on the staircase is really so exciting!
Minami: I'm always so excited!
Yuzuka: The directors and choreography teachers also!
Towaki: Everyone's clapping and saying "So cool!" and feeling proud of themselves.
Yuzuka: Recently, although there's more scenes with beats and choreography steps, everyone's moves are not exaggerated that I really felt stimulated by the aesthetics of it.
Towaki: The atmosphere in Flower Troupe now is very good. I'm very happy to be part of this, that's why every day passes by so quickly. Every time, I hope to carefully perform and cherish the production that would be created and what is conveyed in this production.
Minami: It's really like that. It's a production that's worth pursuing for, and I've also thought a lot. The feeling of wanting to share feelings with everyone around you, for the musical and for the show, every day I clearly felt something different being manifested, which we continue to delve deeper, so that we can deliver a performance that would make the audience feel happy, I believe everyone's improving together.
Yuzuka: This is really a two-set work that I've learnt a lot. All of us are focused in this production. We really feel grateful that we could meet with everyone and also very blessed. With this awareness that's bred, I'd hold my tears in if I faced something that I thought I couldn't do, because it's all thanks to the many support various people have given to us as the time passes by. With respect, if we could deliver a quality stage, we'll be one to do our very best.
Towaki: Soudesune~ (That's right) I'll work hard-rimasu. (I'll work hard).
